HERE’S HOW TO BECOME A MINER:

Freshman Student:

Complete an ApplyTexas application at ApplyTexas.org. Submit official high school transcript(s). Official high school transcripts must be sent directly from the high school(s) to UTEP. Submit official test scores directly from the testing agency (i.e., CollegeBoard.org or ACT.org) to UTEP. Information: 915-747-5890

Transfer Student:

Complete an ApplyTexas application at ApplyTexas.org. Submit official transcripts from all institutions attended. Official transcripts must be sent directly from the institution(s) to UTEP. Information: 915-747-5890

International Student:

Complete an ApplyTexas application at ApplyTexas.org. $65 Application Fee. Submit official transcript(s). Official transcripts must be sent directly from the institution(s) to UTEP. Submit official test scores directly from the testing agency (i.e., CollegeBoard.org or ACT.org or ETS.org) to UTEP. Information: 915-747-5890

Check your email and log in to mystatus.utep.edu. You will receive email communications about your admissions status. MyStatus reflects items that have been received and processed. Once admitted, you will use your UTEP ID number to accept your admissions offer, register for orientation, and activate your Miners account.

Mexican nationals who demonstrate economic need are encouraged to apply for the Programa de Asistencia Estudiantil (PASE) to be eligible to receive in-state tuition. For more information about the PASE program, visit www.utep.edu/student-affairs/oipsa.

Graduate Student:

Complete an application at www.utep.edu/graduate. $45 Application Fee for domestic and Mexican national applicants ($80 for other international applicants). Submit transcripts and diplomas or certificates from all colleges or universities attended and other documents, if applicable: standardized test scores (such as GRE/GMAT/MAT), statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, CV or résumé, writing sample and English language proficiency test scores (for applicants who earned their degrees in non-English speaking countries).
